Control of Microrobotic Swarms

Inspired by the self-organized large-scale structures found in nature, our lab is interested in designing control schemes for controlling microrobotic swarm behaviors.

Active Matter and Self-Propelled Micromachines

Self-Propelled micromachines are micro- and nanoscale motors that move autonomously by converting a specific stimulus (e.g chemical gradients, lights etc.) to kinetic energy. In our lab we are interested in exploring different kinds of self-propelled micromotors, along with their interactions with the environment.

Microrobots for Biomedical Applications

We are interested in exploring the application of microrobots for a variety of biomedical applications. A current project in our lab uses microrobots for bone repair. Another project in our lab uses microrobots for making micro-structured bio-polymers.
